
Healthy bones, muscles and joints are, of course! The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society want parents and teenage girls to know that building strong bones needs to happen when you’re young, and getting enough calcium, vitamin D, and performing regular weight-bearing exercises can help prevent future debilitating bone fractures, “dowager’s hump” and height loss.
