David R Cooper, MD Wilkes Barre, PA
Dr. David Cooper is a graduate of Binghamton University and Jefferson Medical College. He specializes in knee disorders having opened the Knee Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1981. Approximately 80% of his practice deals with knee disorders, and the other 20% with general orthopedics. He is an adjunct professor at the Decker School of Nursing of Binghamton University, and an adjunct professor at Kings College, teaching throughout the year to physician assistants and nursing students. Since 1983, he has been the attending orthopedic surgeon at the Pocono Raceway for the Nascar races each year, and has treated a number of the Nascar drivers for various orthopedic injuries. Dr. Cooper lectures regularly for a number of organizations including Professional Education Systems, Inc. and LRP Publications. He has presented lectures to the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and is the keynote speaker for LRP National Workers Compensation Conference taking place in Chicago in November, 2007. A licensed pilot for over 20 years, he enjoys flying his turbine powered Bonanza for both business and pleasure. He is noted for his ability to present orthopedic knowledge in an entertaining and enlightening manner.
