Peter G Gerbino II, MD

Dr. Peter G. Gerbino, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He is fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He came to Monterey from Boston where he was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and worked exclusively in sports medicine at Children’s Hospital, Boston. He has published more than 45 scientific papers including textbook chapters on injuries to athletes. His area of research is the patellofemoral joint.

Dr Gerbino was the team orthopedic surgeon for Miami University of Ohio and has been the team physician for three other colleges and five high schools over the years. He is currently the team physician for Seaside High School. Dr Gerbino played lacrosse as a student at Stanford University. He lectures locally, nationally and internationally on sports medicine topics. In October, he will travel as Team Physician to Taipei, Taiwan with the United States Figure Skating Team. In November, he will travel to Mexico to lecture in the American College of Sports Medicine International Team Physician Course. In February, 2007, he will lecture in the USA Team Physician Course in San Diego.
