Tal S David, MD

Tal David, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic and sports medicine surgery. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed an orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. David has served on the medical staff of various professional sports teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Angels, and Anaheim Mighty Ducks. He is presently the team orthopedic surgeon for the San Diego Chargers and an orthopedic consultant for the PGA and AVP Tours. Dr. David is in private practice in San Diego and is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. He is on the Board of Editors of the scientific journal, Orthopedics.

Dr. David is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the NFL Team Physicians’ Society. He serves as a member of the Scientific and Medical Committee of the Arthritis Foundation, San Diego Chapter. Dr. David has the distinction of being voted “Top Doctor” in the field of orthopedic surgery in the October 2004 issue of San Diego Magazine. He has published multiple articles and book chapters related to sports medicine and sports injuries.
