I am an orthopaedic surgeon in private practice in Louisville, KY with the Louisville Bone and Joint Specialists. I am a general orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on knee, hip and shoulder surgery. My training includes a BS (Biology) and a BA (economics) from Tulane. I went to medical school and did my residency at the University of Louisville and earned my MBA from Northwestern (Kellogg). I am the Chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Practice Management Committee and have been a consultant to their Biomedical Engineering Committee and created an exhibit for them on the commercialization of medical products called "Orthopaedics Innovation: Bench, Bedside and Bank." I am on the Editorial Board of AAOSNow, the Academy's monthly magazine and have published multiple articles and given speeches on medical business topics. I served on a Congressional Electronic Medical Records Roundtable after our committee published an EMR Primer.

I am married with three children.
