Fraser J Leversedge, MD Durham, NC
Originally from Victoria, Canada, Dr. Leversedge attended Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH) for his undergraduate and medical school education. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) and his hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis, MO) before joining Hand Surgery Associates in Denver, Colorado, in 2001. Currently, Dr. Leversedge is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, however he will be joining the faculty at Duke University in the fall of 2009 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery / Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an Instructional Course Lecture faculty instructor with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and has served on numerous committees for both organizations. He is a Trustee for the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Leversedge is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery and is an consultant editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Knowledge Online series. In 2004 he was a site physician for the basketball venue at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, and he will be a site physician at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. Dr Leversedge and his wife Kimberly have three daughters, Chelsea, Haley, and Riley.
